First of all, what the heck is 'nappy headed'? and how is it rude or racist? I dont even know what it means, secondly the word 'ho's' is part of the American lexicon now, its common for millionaire rappers and other 'artists' to call women "ho's".... finally, has anyone heard Michael Weiner aka Michael Savage? Now that man should be banished from radio, not this guy....I don't even give a damn for Imus, but Rush and Savage are the two real racist, talk show people out there.

My brother is 19 and was arrested yesterday and is in jail becuase my paents won't pay bond to get him released. It's not that much - $600 - but they say they are trying to teach him a lesson but this is his first time in trouble.

I'm 21 and been there twice - once for 30 days and once for 6 months - and know what it's like and I don't think it's right that they want to leave him there. I'm trying to get the cash together for him.

I think it is horrible that anyone judges anyone. Being a christian you should project only love. Not criticism and judgement towards other. (other religions, athiest, gays ect.)

Im not saying all do...but an outstand majority do.

I have been spending time with a really nice guy. We have a lot in common and have a really good time doing nothing. We haven't talked about being boyfriend and girlfriend, because we are both coming out of long relationships and we trying to move slow. I mean he's publicly apologized several times over with no expectation of forgivness. He's accepting his suspension with respectful dignity. He's trying to set up a meeting with the Retugers Women's Basketball team so he can personally apologized. Why are Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton saying it isn't enough?

What are they doing to get african american comics to stop making racist jokes against white people? Why is it taboo to make fun of non-white people but comics who are non-white can make any sort of joke they want?

He sought counseling from his pastor and parents who said that he must either be celibate...or deny himself and marry a woman. He was told that being gay, he would go to hell otherwise. He saw no way out, and according to his note, did not want to disappoint his parents or his church...nor, did he want to live a lie.

Do churches/pastors have a responsibility to be more careful
when "counseling" people. Do they really understand the psychology behind homosexuality, etc...

Because fundies speak from their belief structure and interpretation of the gospel...they are speaking to someone whose sexuality may be biological...

Is this logical...To condemn what may be biological, with beliefs?

When will fundies be held responsible for their hateful rhetoric? Do fundies realize the havoc they cause on people and families by pretending to be all knowing, and being the ultimate authority on scripture? No one is God...no one should speak as if they are.

Am currently seeing this girl online...we chat very often.
We both like each other.
She asked me one day,if i ever got cheated on?
I told her i've been cheated on, from my previous girlfriend due to not having sex with her.

None of the peoples in that Region could compete with the Romans and Greeks. It's comical to read the Bible, with all of the boasting about their mighty God, knowing that Rome is massing an unstoppable army just across the Mediterranean. It all seems so silly.

But the Israelites fell before the Romans even entered the picture. They were gone by 722 BC and kicked out of the region like no one before or since. Only Judea hung on for another 500 years.

Since no supernatural explanation is ever suggested for the fall of the other kingdom and empires in the region, isn't it just silly to attribute the inability of a small backward tribe to fend off a massive empire (several) to a few wooden idols in someone's tent or an adultery somewhere in the camp. The Romans didn't worry about nonsense like that and they kicked butt whether they were Pagan OR Christian.

So why use such a silly argument when it is so obviously false?
