I think it is horrible that anyone judges anyone. Being a christian you should project only love. Not criticism and judgement towards other. (other religions, athiest, gays ect.)

Im not saying all do...but an outstand majority do.

A lot of them can't read.

The Bible, for instance, does not say "Judge not, lest ye be judged" but judge not, lest ye be NOT Judged.

You see, Christianity teaches that everyone is judged, and people who read the "lest ye be judged" translation see no reason not to judge people... since they are all getting judged anyways.

But if you actually read the verse in the originals, or even in the King James version, it doesn't say "Judge not" or you will be judged, but Judge not, or else you will not be judged, instead, the measure YOU METE will be used upon you....

In otherwords, if you judge, you are not judged by god, but given the judgement you gave others....

So, if you walk around saying people are going to hell, you're going to hell.

I don't know why Christians don't know their own holy book, that's scary, scary, scary.

Edit: Even scarier that they don't know that in Genesis they mankind is said to come to KNOW good and evil. There is no judgement between them- they know them.

Silly Christians, not knowing their own holy book. FOR SHAME.

Don't confuse passing judgement with quoting what someone in the Bible say or paraphrasing it.

The Bible definitively says in several places men who lay with men are abonomations.

NOW, being JUDGEMENTAL is a Christian to question that policy. That's passing judgement saying: Is that really so? Is that really the way Jesus would view it if he were here?

That would be judgement and we were TOLD not to judge humans, but not necessarily words in books or their meanings.

Some people, however, thing you are judging GOD by questioning those passages.

So, it's a right of the religious to look at things either way.

But passing judgmenet on Atheists or Musilms or Homosexuals does not come from citing the Bible. That is simply quoting.

In Science you aren't passing judgment on a Bosan String Theory by saying

Yeah, dude, but what about TACHYONS! Hey, so there!

Sounds a bit judgemental, but it's simply saying you agree with Einstein's views and a Tachyon violates those views. And a Tachyon is part of Bosan String Theory.

Supporting Bosian String Theory is like supporting women ministers or homosexual marriages. It violated the edicts of Pope Albert and scientists will think you're a weird cultist.

The be attentive to God says that judgment starts off while Jesus returns he brings his rewards with him and the saints would be judged on the marriage supper of the Lamb. however the white throne judgment is for all that have died out factor of Jesus Christ and the books would be opened and all that they have got performed is recorded in those books and people who's call isn't written in the e book of life would be solid into the lake of fireplace. Peace.

It all depends on what you mean by "judge." When we say what the Bible says about behavior, are we judging? No. We are telling people what God says about a certain topic.

Judging, in biblical terms, is me telling you that you are going to hell. Judging is also my pointing out sin in others (and at the same time, excusing my sin.)

Telling you that God hates something is not judging. When the Bible tells me that God hates a lying tongue, am I judging a person who lies? No, I am merely stating the law. If I call a person a liar without any evidence, that is judging.

In this all too sensitive, politically correct day and age, people want a pass on all kinds of behavior. People who lie do so because they "don't want to hurt someone." People fornicate so they can "test drive" the merchandise before they buy. But God hates all that. He loves people, but hates what they do. God has even provided a way out of our sin (Yes, He still calls it that...) by sending His Son to pay the penalty for it.

We can live a complete and full life living for Him, instead of ourselves. All it takes is surrender to him, and receiving the gift He gave us.

I for one try not to Judge others because you are very right.......It is Gods job to do the Judging. So I sometimes just place the person in God's hands.(In prayer, I am asking for God to help them not Judge them!) F.Y.I. I also ask for forgiveness for being judgmental.I am not so sure that an outstanding majority of Christians are Judgmental. You are hearing only those who are. Not the ones like myself who are not.

Amen! It is God's job to judge us. We are supposed to love on another - not judge one another! Thank you for pointing this out to everyone. Although, to be honest, I don't think a lot of them are going to care. Oh, wait, is that judging. I should stop while I'm ahead. You're right though, it is not our responsibility to judge anyone. We should be pointing the finger at ourselves.

When I was a probation officer, I did not have the power to judge (to send someone to prison). But it was EXPECTED of me by the judge to warn my clients of what was to come to them if they did not obey the laws of the state and the rules of their probation.

Same thing as a Christian - I do not have the power to judge (to send you either to heaven or hell). But it is EXPECTED of me by God to preach the gospel of Christ to all sinners and to warn them of what is to come if they fail to obey God and receive His Son as Lord and Savior.

If I say that going over the posted speed limit of 45 MPH will get you a ticket, am I judging you or am I warning you? If you are new to the area, and didn't know how strict the local police are, you shouldn't be angry at me for warning you, you should thank me.

In your answer is the answer. You proclaimed yourself guilty of judgment.God says we are all unworthy and we can only improve never will we be Holy. That's why He sent His Son. Now we have someone to intercede for us "wanna-be" good people. Let's keep trying!
I believe your judgment to really be against the act of judgment and not of people.
Thanks for a question that takes us to deeper thoughts.

I don't know why. WE are not supposed to but some people think that if they are "christian" that give them the right to judge. As you said we should only project love

Do you know the majority of Christians?

I am a Christian and I choose to not pass judgment on others and would greatly appreciate the same in return.

BTW, this question has been asked like a thousand times.

I don't know about projecting only love but I do agree that judgement for those outside the church belongs to God
