Or would they be better off on the Motherland (Africa) today?

when everywhere they look it is competition from one religion to the other as for who has more followers and who is right and who is not right. why can we not focus on the fact that we give more attention to religion then we do to god, and maybe start understanding that if you are a muslim god will accept you, if you are jew god will accept you, if you are a christian god will accept you...based on YOUUUUU!!! NOT YOUR RELIGION!!

i think god would want us to worry more about ourselves and not so much about others...including religion.

Usually Europeans despise "coloured" people, but
evangelical Europeans are bent upon imposing their
faith on (non-christian) non-Europeans. They say that
it is the "white man's burden" to save the "coloured"
people. How do they know that they(European
evangelicals) have been "saved" and that the
non-christians will be "saved" if the latter convert
to christianity? Obviously evangelicals do not have
any "extra sensory perception". They are not
clairvoyants. They are like any other ordinary person.
How do they know that Jesus Christ is "the only true
God", that those who accept him will live in "eternal
heaven" and those who reject him will have to face
"eternal damnation" ? Is this not both superstition
and fanaticism? Why should there be only one religion
in the whole world? What if there are several
religions? Is not evangelism another form of European(
and American) hegemony, colonialism, domination and imperialism?

I guess that English will never be the language for the whole world. It is too complicate for speakers of non-European languages, even for speakers of Romance languages! Esperanto has (approximately) a balance, it is neutral regard to politics, religion and social matters, and it is easy to learn (I needed 2 months). Maybe there is also somebody else who speaks Esperanto. Bonvolu, partoprenu kaj respondu al mia demando!

Me and my partner are having a debate wheteher the word b**ger is acceptable. In my opinion this is a swear word and not acceptable to be said around my daughter. I dont under stand why this word is more acceptable than the f word, which means a normal physical act or the t and c words that describe certain parts of a womens body. The word b***er means an act that is not morally acceptable to many people and not a natural physical act. Does anyone have any thought on this ?

I've seen this excuse several times. God wanting you to kill someone for working on the sabbath is because he loves you as a parent loves their child and parents have to lay down rules because of that love.

Hey guys, I've got three kids that I love very much. They have rules, but that doesn't include having them killed for not cleaning their room. In fact I have never had and never will have, cause to hit, spank or strike my children in anyway.

If God's gotta have his children killed for working on the sabbath, doesn't that make him a lousy parent?

I have an14 year old oak tree in my backyard that had a lot of new spring leaves (thank you 85 plus weather for 10 days). Anyhow we have had two nights of a hard freeze and the tree /leaves look pathetic, will the tree die, will the leaves come back when the weather warms up or will it be a sad sight all season? Thanks

My cousin suffers from Asperger's and his obsession with his hobbies prevent him from being able to concentrate enough on any given task to hold a job. He's legally an adult, however is child like in many ways - naive and socially inept. His parents (he lives at home) realize that he will have to make his own way in life eventually as they won't live forever. They would like to him employed, but barring that at least get some sort of gov't assistance to allow indepedent living.

Would having a doctor formally diagnose Asperger's entitle him to some disability payments or a workplace equity program?
