Without the Atlantic slave trade and the disruption that it and the subsequent colonization caused in Africa, people in Africa may have been much better off today. What would have happened in Europe if Chinese slave traders, instead of viking raiders, had appeared at their shores, offering wealth and guns for slaves throughout the 10th and 11 th centuries and then carving up Europe into colonies to be exploited?

Many are better off but who isn't better over then their ancestors? But how many died in the process? Think about all those that did not have the chance to create descendants because of all the atrocities they had to endure.
Does the end justify the means? I do not think it does.
