Revelation 4:11 says, “Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are and were created.” Colossians 1:16 reiterates the point: “All things were created by Him and for Him.”

So why do so many people think they are here so GOD should please them? where is that written?

I see many questions and answers accusing Christians of participating in pagan holidays. That's correct. Jehovah's Witnesses have recognized this and rejected them. The trinity as well has pagan origins and no Biblical basis. So they have rejected this. They are accused of changing their beliefs over the years. But honestly, what is worse: admitting when you are wrong and doing something about it, or clinging to false beleifs out of pride and adapting the truth around your doctrines? The apostles had wrong ideas and assumptions. They took years to get a real grasp on the truth. God said that "the light would get brighter," not that truth would be known all at once. For those of you who are bothered by their preaching why do you answer the door? They are doing what they feel is right. To people who say they have a false translation, have you really researched this or are you just parroting what you were told?

i live about ten-fifteen minutes away from usc. is it worth moving out next year, or is commuting from home good for another year? consider this:
tution is about 40g a year, and one-bedrooms are about 1200/month, or at least the one i am eyeing. (my parents pay for my tution already, so i will feel pretty bad asking them to pay for that apartment.) also, the area isnt too nice .. but i will be only a walking distance away from the school, which also means i have to give up my new bmw (i cant have a new car AND a new apartment, get it?) i will have more "freedom" i suppose, too, but my parents dont really restrain me from anything nonetheless.. so it wont matter on that part.

i could point-counterpoint forever, so i need help.

ok, so i'm a 13-year-old girl. i am a HUGE naruto fanatic. but there's these skater boys who keep bothering me about it. i sit next to one in scince, and when its just me and him talking, he's really nice, and even asks me abuot the show. when he's with his jerk friends, its a different story. i've tried ignoring them, but i cant take it anymore!
once in science class, (there was only about 15 kids, long story) i started crying because they were being such jerks! thank goodness our teacher felt my pain and made them stop when i started threatening to kill them.
what bothers me most is that they know NOTHING about the show, and they find it fun to make fun of it, and i'm sick of it.
P.S. i dont mean to be racist, but they're white people, and they make fun of me for being filipino and looking chinese. they make fun of me for so many things, even when i've done nothing to them. what should i do???

I have been saying this for years.

We could have avoided Bush if we could get every eligible American to vote. I have no doubt that the fanatical fundies are in the minority.

Do you want your children taught creation instead of actual proven science? There are bills in 17 states right now to force schools to teach creationism. Yes, it is true!!!!!!!!

I don't know about you, but I don't want the education of my son hindered or set back by illogical bible thumpers.

ok, so me and my bf have been together for 5 months. we r best friends and we took it really slow. it was just holding hands up to last month. now we are cuddling and walking hand in hand and hand round waist and stuff, and a two weeks ago, we kissed. i was happy, cuz i wanted to for a really really long time, and everything. but it was a 0.000000001 second kiss. what do i do to show him i want an actual kiss? and how do i start one? is the technique we r using wrong? we just normally hug, and then peck on the lips. i dont know how to kiss him! AAAHH ! this is a first for both of us, and im not sure what to do. like i sooo want to kiss him. just dont know what to do. we are pretty comfortable around each other, but its just this one thing that bugs me. i keep on reading about keeping kissing longer, and then biting his lower lips, but im too nervous. why dusnt he make the 1st move? shud i just slam him against a locker and kiss him?? help!!
