Recently, I had to format our laptop, which was getting a new harddrive and motherboard. The wireless worked fine for a few days, but I needed to get something from the old hard drive (I took out the new one, put in the old one, got the file, and put the new one in), and it stopped working. It says the adapter is inactive, and the link light stays off. Installing the software hasn't worked. The strangest part is that the windows wireless icon says that it is connected, and that the strength is excellent, but the Wireless G program says it is not connected but you can't click the profile and click connect. And when I go to a webpage, it doesn't work. When I try clicking "repair", it says it can't because it can't connecting to the wireless network. Also, when I click the properties of the wireless connection, normally, where the IP adress and subnet mask would be, everything is blank. It won't work on other connections either. The ethernet port isn't working either.
