It is rumored that ARod may opt out of this contract after this year and Brian Cashman has already said the Yankees are not interested in offering another long term contract to him. ARod's services are still probably worth in excess of $130million, after factoring in the contracts that Carlos Lee and Alfonso Soriano got. And ARod is just entering his 30s. Where will he go? Boston?

We moved into a great neighborhood last year... lots of kids and nice neighbors. Our next-door neighbors on one side are a family of 5 smokers. Our properties are very close together; when someone smokes outside, it wafts into our home. I can smell it all through the house. What can I say to them? We have 2 young kids, ages 2 months and 2 years. I don't want to have to keep our windows closed all the time, I don't want to subject my kids to second-hand smoke, but I am not so unreasonable as to see that smokers should be able to light up in their own backyards. Is there any way to compromise? We're not protected by any tenant laws as we are all homeowners. They have been nice to us, but I also don't want to anger them. We plan on living here for a long time, and it sure would be rough sharing a fence with people who are mad at you! Help!

I'm moving to taiwan in the summer. Do you know what's a cheap international shipping company? I don't have much stuff, just 3-5 large boxes of cloths & books, a few guitars, two keyboards (61 key and 76 key, repespectively), and 3-5 small-medium sized boxes of household goods. To ship these items through USPS or UPS would cost me a fortune. That's why I am thinking shipping companies. Genunie answers will be greatly appreciated.

What is the meaning behind it and how long are the ashes supposed to stay on your head? Last year a guy came to work with ashes on his head and a lot of us didn't understand why. There have been a number of Law and Order episodes which have featured lawyers for either the prosecution or the defense going to computer security experts and retrieving e-mails (in order to prove the guilt or innocence of a particular party). These e-mails were not retrieved off of personal computers (sending and/or receiving the e-mails) but rather they were recovered within the public domain, as it were.

It seems from these episodes that once an e-mail is sent in the public domain (without it being encrypted) it can be retrieved/uncovered and read by such experts. Is this true? When an e-mail is sent in the public domain, is it truly something that has become "public"?

ok, i have a male &female betta fish the man at the pet store said wen the male is ready to mate he will make a bubble suface like a nest then i should put them together as soon as there done mating i should seperate them. Well the maLE did make the nest i lifted the seperation wall just a weee bit for the female to slip under she was just siting rite by the opening then...BAM!! the male bolted at her!! tried to kill her it was LOUD now im really sared to put them together =( wat size should the breeding tank be?wat temp. should the water be for the eggs and wen there eggs there with the male but wen they hatch who do i put them with? And females are sopposed to be good withother calm fish so i put 6 lake guppies on her side she at all of them in 30 min. were they too small or was there not enough room? are betta egs clear?

I was listening to Sean Hannity on the way home from work in my car and he was talking up a poll that just came out saying that 60% of Americans would not support cutting funding for the troops in Iraq. No surprise there, as I am not sure who would support leaving troops out in the battlefield with no funding. I thought that was interesting, so I looked up the poll he was talking about online when I got home. What he failed to say, is that the same poll also said that 60% of Americans favor a timetable for leaving Iraq. My point is this. He was also talking today about Pelosi and the Democrats speaking in half-truths, but isn't that exactly what he is doing? He talks about the poll being bad for Dems, but the Dems have not cut off funds, they just suggested a timeline for withdrawal, which the poll shows Americans favor.

Space and time define our universe as we can understand it. And all that happened from the first moment that this universe began till now that I'm writing these lines are related to each other. Every single event concludes to this very moment. But what about our thoughts? Does a thought effect the progress of things and events? Is a thought connected to a death of a star 2 millions yaers ago? Or will a thought of your own make a rainforest disappear after 200 years?
