Probably b. Because even if it's a bad joke, at least you didn't screw it up, and lots of people laugh at their own jokes so that's not so bad, and finally, there's nothing wrong for taking credit for someones else's joke because chances are that person stole it from someone else too!

Laughing at your own joke is only bad when it is uncontrollable or interferes with getting it through to the listener(s). Taking credit for someone else's joke is really bad, but I'd have to say that telling a great joke horribly is the worse thing that you can do. Think about it. If you tell a horrible joke badly someone may still laugh. You did your best and that's all you can do, right? Telling a great joke horribly is SOOO bad because you actually had a chance to tell it correctly and BLEW it. Then there is the chance that the listener knows the joke. There's almost never a laugh behind messing up a good joke.

I can live with telling a bad joke.
Telling a great joke horribly isn't the end of your life.
Laughing at your own joke is just pathetic.
