My cat , Jaz , is fourteen years old. He's had arthritis for a couple years. He wants to sleep in a dark quiet spot most of the day and night. I've noticed his fur seems very sparse, and he sheds alot when I brush him. His whiskers are even broken off on one side....His appetite is normal, he has a little potbelly, but I can feel his bones. He doesn't groom himself like he used to, but when he does quite a bit of fur is licked off. I have two younger kitties also. They seem fine. Do you think a medicated shampoo is enough?

Mushrooms are a large part of my diet and I was just wondering if eating too many of them will cause anything to happen. I eat all kinds of fresh mushrooms (e.g. oyster mushroom, golden mushroom, some small mushroom from Japan) almost everyday, and in large amounts each time. Someone told me mushrooms contain toxins. How true is this?

About three weeks ago this problem just sort of crept up on me out of nowhere. My feet started to smell so strongly it was even making me sick, in addition to a powerful "typical" foot smell, there was a strong smell of ammonia.

Two weeks of intensive washing with Dial antibacterial soap and treatment with antifungal spray has knocked the smell down to 15% of what it used to be, but there is still a hint of ammonia in my socks.

Extra info: My feet look almost completely normal. When they are wet, there are patches of skin on my soles that are softer and whiter than normal, but I have no visual signs of athletes foot. My socks have been sticking to my feet after wearing them all day and sometimes there is some sort of brownish material deep in the terrycloth. Just had a checkup, my liver is fine.

My husband and i have been together for 3 years and married for one, we have been throught a lot of stress recently and been fighting alot we lost our jobs and our house and had to move in with my parents we have a 2 year old daughter. He has been going to school trying to graduate we had to sell our car so we have money so he feels like hes not a man anymore, He had a hard life growing up and he keeps everything inside and wont talk, he told me he does not no if he still loves me because all we do is fight and he has so many problems with in him self he wants to work out. but he still stays with me and we act like we are still married except he wont tell me he loves me he just says he feel a little bit coming back and we still make love. I dont no what to do I love him I am devstated and i pray he finds happyness and could let me in again. what should i do!!!

I am in shock, ....my electric bill arrived yesterday and it was DOUBLE what it usually is. I called them, and they said last month it was estimated, but this was an actual reading. It really killed my budget for the month. We had an insurance claim and some work done on the house, do you think power tools would use that much electricity? I am desperately looking for ways to cut expenses and that is the only thing I can think of, but would power tools really bump up my bill to double what it usually is? It went from $80 to $160 in one month.

For instance, when I go for a walk, I get very angry when anyone else is around.
I always feel like people are watching every move I make and it causes me great anxiety. I long to be alone because then I know nobody is watching me.
If I am around other people, I only enjoy myself when I am drinking. As a direct result, I drink very frequently.
I work in an office and I can hardly get any work done because there are people around me constantly and it bothers me so much.
This is affecting my job performance and almost every aspect of my life.
What is wrong with me and how can I rid myself of these feelings? Please Help!

I am out of the house between 07:30 and 14:00 monday, 07:30 and 17:30 tuesday - thursday, and home all day friday to sunday. I also have 2 cats wandering about the house. I could keep the dog outside during the day as I have a large fenced yard. In the family there is me and my husband, and our 14yo son. Would this be fair on the dog or is there a more suitable breed for my situation? My yard is at the back of the house so therefore away from road and out of view of public. I also live in a quite rural area on the edge of a small village
