I love horror movies, hard to pick a fave, but i guess the one that had me most scared was The Thing. First time I watched it about 15 years ago when I was about 19. It was about an parasitic alien which inhabits human bodies and makes them mutate horribly. However nobody really knows who has the parasite within them until its too late. I guess I enjoyed it because the suspense of knowing who had the parasite and who didnt until the last minute... really scary. Maybe it was more frightening because I was younger at the time, not sure.
I also love the Exorcist. Being Catholic in origin, the whole issue about demonic posession has real meaning I guess. Aside from the horrific transformation that the girl undergoes as a result of the possession, it was enthralling to watch how the devil tried to tempt, coax and ridicule the priest im any way he could. Love it.

I loved 'Wrong Turn' when I saw it at the cinema, but when it came out on dvd they'd cut out some really good bits! I love that type of film.
I enjoy films like Saw etc...but I always figure out the twists way before the end so no surprises for me.So I have to opt for gore instead. The oldies never really did it for me either. Although when I was a kid I was seriously spooked by 'An American Werewolf In London' and also 'The Thing', but my favourite horror has to be 'Halloween'-that put me off babysitting I'll tell you!!!! Can't beat it-and I bet Rob Zombie makes a total hash of the remake like he's done with his other 'horrors'.

American werewolf in London. It was the first one I saw and it scared the c**p out of me! It doesn't scare me now but it's still a great film and there's some funny bits too. Also, when I watched The Exorcist for the first time I found that disturbing and it prayed on your mind afterwards. Since seeing the opening sequence of Scary Movie 2 with James Woods I can't watch Exorcist without thinking of him and then I start laughing!

easily there are 3 i could highly propose. Insidious: about a boy who can go back and forth into an astral airplane called The extra who falls right into a coma and afterwards unusual voices and phantoms commence intruding of their residing house and they ultimately search for advice from a psychic who tells them that the daddy needs to go back and forth into the extra with the intention to save his son. Inland Empire: A secret horror about an actress performed by technique of Laura Dern who starts to lose her grip on reality and adventure many odd scenes and circumstances at the same time as engaged on a movie that is supposedly "cursed". The Shining: A Stanley Kubrick movie from 1980 about a guy and his spouse and son who stay as caretakers at a motel in Colorado called The ignore which has a heritage of poser and homicide. highly propose

Definately the Saw Trilogy, Saw 3 being the most scary and gruesome. I love any horrors that are psychological as well as gory. I also liked the three Final Destination films, the 3rd one totally turned me off sunbeds! Lol - Hostel was also pretty scary!
