Ahem...before CDs there were cassette tapes and before that there was the venerable 8-track tape. I go back even further than that to 45 rpm vinyl singles and my first purchase was Love Potion No. 9 by The Searchers in 1965 and it cost all of 59 cents! My first album purchase was the Beatles' Help!

i think it must have been Az Yet.. dont remember the title of the album, but it has the hit song - Last night.. i cant exactly say that was my first as in first - i guess i could say that was my first original album i bought.. the rest were pirate copies.. hehehehee
i do know the first 'original' my dad bought for me - it was Aaliyah - Age aint nothing but a number... loved that cassette.. hehehe

I am actually reflecting on my life and I do believe that I have never bought my own CD! Of course the ones my parents did buy me were all Disney Jams--- yeah. I guess now I am a little to old for that. I do buy my own songs on itunes now.
Now my friends just buy me CDs. YAY for being likable!
