For instance, when I go for a walk, I get very angry when anyone else is around.
I always feel like people are watching every move I make and it causes me great anxiety. I long to be alone because then I know nobody is watching me.
If I am around other people, I only enjoy myself when I am drinking. As a direct result, I drink very frequently.
I work in an office and I can hardly get any work done because there are people around me constantly and it bothers me so much.
This is affecting my job performance and almost every aspect of my life.
What is wrong with me and how can I rid myself of these feelings? Please Help!

Thank You.

In my opinion, you have the condition that doctor's (psychiatrist) prescribe Paxill for. It is called "social anxiety". It can cause folks to become housebound or "agorophobic". I think you should do this:

Go to a counselor or psychologist and tell them your problem. If they think you need Paxill (Zoloft, Cymbalta, Lexipro are other drugs that do that same thing) he/she will give you a recommendation to a psychiatrist. Only the psychiatrist can prescribe drugs, but don't go straight to a psychiatrist. Reason: they like to get you hooked on drugs so you have to keep coming back to them to get the drugs. Whereas, a pychologist will know whether you can be treated with "talk therapy" or other therapy or whether only a drug can help you, or a combination of the drug and talk therapy or other therapy. They have no motivation to get you hooked on a drug, because they can't even prescribe them. They can only recommend them.

This may cost you some money, but in the end, it will be worth it because it will change your life. I speak from experience.

I take zoloft (only 50 mg) because I have several things that it helps. Mood swings, depression, mild obsessive/compulsive disorder where things go over and over in my mind (keeps me up at night) and mild social anxiety. This small amount of drug costs $20 a month because I have insurance, but it has done soooooo much for me. Make sure you tell them you would like to start with the smallest amount possible, increasing only if you find you need it. I have kept the same dose for years and it is working just fine.

Hope this helps.

Sounds like you have a couple of issues here, borderline alcoholic and a case of anti social behavior. People aren't your enemy, it's the little voices in your head that are bad. If people seem to be staring at you it may because they are unsure of your peculiar behavior, which in this day and age you can't blame them for watching out for who's is around them. Seek out a psychiatrist and give up the booze, it's not helping.

Small doses of valium or xanax would stop your anxiety. Some therapy would be good to get to the cause as well.

You need to get some help for this. This is called paranoia and you need to see a psych doc about this.
