"Some animals are surprisingly sensitive to the plight of others. Chimpanzees, who cannot swim, have drowned in zoo moats trying to save others. Given the chance to get food by pulling a chain that would also deliver an electric shock to a companion, rhesus monkeys will starve themselves for several days.

Biologists argue that these and other social behaviors are the precursors of human morality. They further believe that if morality grew out of behavioral rules shaped by evolution, it is for biologists, not philosophers or theologians, to say what these rules are."

I am 39 weeks and every week that I go to the doctor I leave disappointed. I am not dilated or even effaced at all. The baby dropped a few weeks ago, but there is no cervical change! The only thing that the doctor told me was not to worry because he wouldn't let me go over 41 weeks. That makes me feel like I am never going to go into labor. Has anyone been through this and how did you deal with the thought of being pregnant forever? I have been having some aniety attacks and not sure how to control them. Any advice on how to cope is very much appreciated!

I believe in understanding things, PROPERLY and the correct definition of “freewill” according to the Concise Oxford Dictionary is freewill [n] the power of acting without the constraint of necessity or fate; the ability to act at one’s own discretion or [adj.] voluntary. It is important to grasp the correct understanding of freewill and not the deliberate misuse of the word by some people.

In order to have freewill, we must be free to choose WITHOUT constraint or necessity. The choice must also be voluntary. There is no freewill when choice is made under threat or is coerced in anyway out of fear of punishment or hope of reward.

To illustrate: If a parent holds a child’s hand over a burning stove and says, ‘Love and obey me and I will let you enjoy your favourite dessert. If you do not love and obey me I will burn your hand off!” certainly, the child has a choice.

But my question is, did that child have the FREEWILL to make that choice?

What if everything was cut in half except whatever you have in the bank?
1. Salary
2. Prices
That means that everything would still be at the same ratio. Your $15/hr job is now a $7.50/hr job, but your $1400 mortgage is now only $700 so now problem right?
I think this would make people increase in their spendind because they now effectivly have twice as much money in their savings/checking accounts. So that $20,000 car just came down to $10,000 and you can buy it now, and buy something else. If there are more people buying stuff, then more jobs should open up because companies will need to manufacture stuff quicker. What do you think? I need all the good and bad points....

Okay, so yesterday, my mom saw my friend and she is about average for my grade of girls. I am like extremely tall. She said that I could be a model. I thought about it and i really would like to pursue modeling now, at 12. Do they have younger models? How do you get jobs? I live in oklahoma and I have no idea what to do. I would like to be a catalog model. I don't want to do runway. I bet I could when I get older though. I know I am lucky to be tall, so I thought that I should use it to my advantage. I am about 5' 4'' or 5' 5''. I am really interested in this and I really need to know like how to put together a book or portfolio. What do I need to put in it? I have no idea on what to do. So, awnser back with any other tips please!!
