this morning she woke up and peed on a pee pad and there was some dark color. is this normal after surgery

Well, it is never "normal" to see blood in urine. The urinary tract is an enclosed system that is sterile. That said, there could have been some minor trauma or damage to the kidneys during the surgery which might have caused some of the smaller vessels to rupture.
I would call the vet who did the surgery immediately and get their input. They would probably want a urine sample to check for any other abnormalities.

that's no longer a classic element effect. Are you beneficial it is not coming from the incision itself? The prostate/urethra should not be broken for the time of a neuter except for some reason they put in a urinary catheter it incredibly is likewise pointless.... i might verify to make beneficial that it is not coming from the incision because of the fact that is common to have a serous fluid leaking obtainable. If no longer i might supply your vet a decision.

I don't think this is normal. Call the vet, it is probably included in the after care.
