I assume that most people would think that Buddhism is a very good moral code to follow and it has the benefit of not having a God or annoying followers trying to convert and no threats of eternal damnation.

Do you think Buddhism is a good alternative to theist religions? Or is it just another way of controlling people who can't think for themselves? Would you be interested in being one yourself? I am not a Buddhist by the way, you can look at my previous answers if you want to know what I am.

Note: These are not my own beliefs, I am merely posing the question because I am genuinely interested in what people think.

I am 29/F and I recently met a man whom I thought was about 26 yrs old. I found out after we exchanged numbers he is only 23. He has a good job and personality and seems to be leveled headed. However, I feel odd dating someone 6 yrs younger because I never have before. I have dated guys the same age and up and they were immature anyway.
My concern is that he is younger and in time when he reaches my age he may not want to be with an older woman.
I am just wondering if there is anyone who thinks a relationship can be successful if an older woman dates a younger man?

Can anyone please provide a review of this car, esp. from personal experience?

I am particularly interested in reliability, durability, and comfortability. I'm no car expert, so I'm looking for a car that can be maintained by an average joe like me. I love my Toyota Corolla (1999) because it's never broken down and all I do is keep the oil in there, drive it safely and bring it into the shop once in a while. At the same time, I'm an outdoorsy type, so I'd like a car that I can take camping and over some less-worn paths.

How is the price for the value? Special features (I'm mainly talking about GPS and phone options)? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Alright, this is a bit gross...but I need some answers. So, I had a bit of the stomach flu on Monday night and threw up about 12 times full fledge in the next 15 or so hours.

I went back to school on Wed, and in first hour I had a pounding headache and I felt a bit woozie. After getting diarea in the middle of class, I went home. When I got home I began to throw up about once an hour whenever I ate, but it was only small amounts.

I am pretty much freshly renewed today, but after eating lunch, I threw up a small amount a few times. Almost as if I was slowly rejecting it. Im still doing it now.

I went home...and now my mom is talking about taking me to the doctors. I think she things Its a bit more serious than it is, and I also think I probably could have made it through the day.

What do you think?

I'm 28. I've been suffering from severe cramps since the onset of my period at the age of 11. I've always missed school/work the first few days of my cycle. My periods have also always been very irregular. At 19 I self-diagnosed myself with endometriosis; many, many cysts were burned off the back of my uterus. I thought this was the explanation for my pain, but every doctor I visit seems to disregard it as an option, as my paps always come back normal.

What really concerns me is the terrible burning sensation I experience with my cramps. It's a relatively new addition to the onslaught on symptoms. It feels like a thousand lit cigarettes are being held to my innards. No amount of medication provides relief. I literally am a bawling mess who can not leave my bathroom floor for days.

If anybody has any suggestions for even the slightest relief, please help me by passing them on.

Thank you,
Heather

Don't you think that it's a hint for people fishing for giant squids to leave them in their habitat or something if they are always dying when they come to "our world"?

My female friend confided to me this weekend that she deep down wishes that her children were the same race as herself. She has 3 sons 9, 7 and 3 and their dad is black and she is white. She says that she loves her kids regardless of their color but she now regrets having children outside her race. She was in her teens when she had the first two, but has had many failed relationships with black men and she says that most white men won't date her and accept her kids. Is this a common feeling for people that have children outside their race but still love their kids? Will this feeling pass? I don't know what to say to her?

Dear friends I am an English learner I learn at home without any teacher.but sometimes I face problems I can’t solve them, like prepositions that I’m so confused about them.
I did this exercise which was about prepositions ,I used all I knew and all I could find in my books about prepositions ,but I couldn’t do it properly.

I need your English speaking friends help in correcting my mistakes.
This is my exercise:
We must put one of these prepositions into the gaps of this text. Sometimes more than one is possible.
Prepositions given are:above*across*by*against*round*on*below*onto*down*along*beside*
In*behind*off*into*up*out of*over*through*past*to*towards*at.

This is how I did this exercise:
The sun rose (at) Mary’s house. It was a beautiful day. Mary came (along) her front door and went (through)the path,(out of)the gateand (down) the street. She crossed( ? ) the road and walked(beside)the bus stop. The bus arrived and she got(on)the bus. It went (round)the corner,(into)the High Street ,(past)all the shops and(onto)the countryside .
It stopped (by)the dock pond(in)the next village, and Mary got(off) . She climbed (above) a stile and started walking(across)a big field. Suddenly she saw a huge bull running (towards)her! She raced(against)the far side of the field and squeezed(up)the hedge.
Out of breath ,she sat down( ? )the grass (over)the river. She leant back (above)a rock. The sun was warm. Mary closed her eyes and listened to the water flowing(below).
Soon she was fast asleep. When she awoke the sun had disappeared (behind)the horizon.

MANY THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!

My step son Micah is terrified of water on his head. He won't take a shower or a bath without a fight! He kicks, hits and screams at the top of is lungs! He will hold his ears, so I thought maybe the water was hurting his ears so I got him ear plugs! That didnt help. I tryed takin a shower with him and we both ended up falling! Baths don't work either! Me and his dad talked to his mom about it and she told us to try washing his hair in the sink, he busted his forehead open on the faucet trying to get away? I just dont have any more ideas on what to do? Someone I need advice.....
