Alright, this is a bit gross...but I need some answers. So, I had a bit of the stomach flu on Monday night and threw up about 12 times full fledge in the next 15 or so hours.

I went back to school on Wed, and in first hour I had a pounding headache and I felt a bit woozie. After getting diarea in the middle of class, I went home. When I got home I began to throw up about once an hour whenever I ate, but it was only small amounts.

I am pretty much freshly renewed today, but after eating lunch, I threw up a small amount a few times. Almost as if I was slowly rejecting it. Im still doing it now.

I went home...and now my mom is talking about taking me to the doctors. I think she things Its a bit more serious than it is, and I also think I probably could have made it through the day.

What do you think?

Flu is short for influenza, which is a separate, identifiable condition from normal viruses. Most people use the word "flu" for any and all types of viruses.

What you have sounds like an enterovirus. Flu (influenza) is characterized by fevers, some as high as 104 degrees, plus major body aches. You didn't mention those symptoms. So I think you probably have a simple virus. If you're concerned, see your doctor.

Sounds like you have a bad case of the flu but it is not a bad idea to see the doc if it makes your mom feel better. Also you need to get more rest and stay home until you are over the flu. By going back to school when you are still sick you are exposing everyone you come in contact with to the flu virus. This is how this spreads so easily so think about your fellow classmates and teachers the next time you have the flu and stay home until you are over it so you don't spread it.

Not the flu. Flu causes hi fever and cough.

Possibly a stomach virus or a little food poisoning. Just take clear liquids like chicken broth, jello, gatorade. If it stays down, go to crackers and toast. Make sure you keep hydrated is the most important thing. As long as you are not feverish, having bad belly pain, you should get better in a day or two.

Your mom is right. You are throwing up way too much and could end up dehydrated. You probably already are with the headache and wooziness. Go to the doc to be safe.

you probably just have the "stomach flu" which is not the flu....drink a lot of fluids and get some rest....highly contagious so stay in your room....you can go to the doctor but they really can't do anything for you....clear liquids are the way to go....good luck and feel better

Whenever some thing like that happens to me I always drink Gatorade your electrolytes are off balance and you are dehydrated from throwing up and diarrhea Gatorade restores the electrolytes to your body in a way that water cannot.

trust me this had worked 100% percent of the time
