I'm 28. I've been suffering from severe cramps since the onset of my period at the age of 11. I've always missed school/work the first few days of my cycle. My periods have also always been very irregular. At 19 I self-diagnosed myself with endometriosis; many, many cysts were burned off the back of my uterus. I thought this was the explanation for my pain, but every doctor I visit seems to disregard it as an option, as my paps always come back normal.

What really concerns me is the terrible burning sensation I experience with my cramps. It's a relatively new addition to the onslaught on symptoms. It feels like a thousand lit cigarettes are being held to my innards. No amount of medication provides relief. I literally am a bawling mess who can not leave my bathroom floor for days.

If anybody has any suggestions for even the slightest relief, please help me by passing them on.

Thank you,
Heather

I would recommend to get a second, third, fourth opinion if necessary from different doctors. The pain that you are going through doesn't sound normal. I would definitely advise you to watch your diet! Try to eat all natural healthy foods. Do not consume foods with preservatives. Go to an all natural food store and talk to one of the workers, they will recommend something for you take.
Good luck and I hope you feel better soon =>

Contact Planned Parenthood, tell them the problem over the phone and ask about the new birth control pill that words for PMDD. They will direct you to an Ob Gyn. In the meantime an ice pack just below the belly will help

i have had cramps like that and i found that going on a low estrogene form of birth control helped significantly also using a warm heating pad and a anti inflamitory medication (my gyno put me on vicodin for this) i have been having irregular periods my entire life and they diagnoised me with poly cycstic ovarian desease a few years ago and have helped me with medications but it took me going to a female gynocologist instead of a male gynocologist in order to figure it out... men tend to not be sympathetic with cramps... if you haven't seen a female gynocologist i would highly recommend that you do..
