There was a time, not so long ago, my adorable cat Dorabella demonstrated extraordinary heroism and showed much compassion towards my grandmother. What a lovely story to share with you, dearest readers!

My grandmother suffered from a chronic disease. She relied on a very efficient medicine to lessen the risk of her frequent heart disease. My grandmother really had a deep affection for this magnificient cat. She spoiled Dorabella with cream, cake, and biscuits. This relationship between woman and cat was not a one-way street because the crucial day came for the cat to do my grandmother a good turn.

That day, the grandmother, who suffers from chronic coronary disease, had a sudden attack rendering her too weak to reach her pills on a shelf above her bed. Her only companion, Dorabella, leapt up and knocked the tablets down to her life-long friend. The medication diminished the pain, but the elderly woman still could not get up and call for help.

The cat was not dismayed; she ran outside and dashed to the nearby house of my grandmother's doctor. The cat started meowing pitifully outside the doctor's door. The surprised doctor recognized the plaintive sounds as those of Dorabella. He telephoned her aged companion, but no one answered. He then hurried to the old woman's house where he found his patient lying on the bed and desperate for help. The doctor immediately called for an ambulance.

The cat loved the elderly woman, came to her rescue - and undoubtedly saved her life. Dorabella's quick and intelligent action might also have had a little gratitude in it, a repayment of kindness with kindness.

My cat jumped up on to an empty box that had already been opened and fell right through the top into the box. The really funny part was that my bf was watching and claimed that the cat was embarrassed for falling because she looked around and pretended like nothing happened then just slinked away. Oh, what a funny kitty!

One of my Boy cats decided to follow the cartoon fish that were swimming as a screen saver on my computer monitor. The fish went up over the screen, so my cat decided to follow it. He obviously forgot we'd changed from a big screen he used to sit on, to a thin flat screen. He fell behind the screen and then down behind the desk and got stuck between that and the wall! I tried not to laugh but he looked so embarrassed!

I had a hamster called Otto and we went away for a week and the guy in the attic flat looked after him. When we came back, I went upstairs to get him and he said "I'm really sorry but I got him out and he's escaped". He'd turned his flat upside down looking for him but hadn't found him. I told him not to worry and left the cage in his flat in case he smelt the food and came back and went down to my flat on the ground floor. Anyway, a bit later on I was cleaning my teeth and I hadn't put the bathroom light on because there was enough light from the bedroom light (I thought) and I moved my foot and it brushed against something furry. I turned the light on and it was Otto! He'd managed to get down 4 floors back to the flat he lived in! Which was probably not because he missed me and realised I'd come home but I like to think it was. He was all dusty and he had sooty black streaks on his white bits and a swollen eye but other than he was fine. I went upstairs and got his cage and told my neighbour, who immediately assumed I'd gone to a petshop and bought an identical hamster (which would have been hard because Otto was black white and brown, absolutely huge and it was nearly midnight). I wish he'd had a little camera on his back because I would LOVE to know where he went on his little trip.

It's not stupid but my sister's cat followed my nephew to school then spent all day peering in the classroom window at him. Then when it was home time he followed him back.
And then one of my cat's used to get out of the rain by hiding under the shed. Clever enough but used to leave her tail hanging out to get soaked.

I had a West Highland Terrier called Bailey and my sister owned his sister called Rosie. When Rosie came to visit I had to put a pair of my small daughters knickers on Rosie to stop Bailey getting her into the family way (literally)!!
