Not trying to sound cold hearted here but just what is Iraq in the sense of sacrifice to America, really, and, truly, compared to other wars, the U.S. has engaged in. There were more people killed at Gettysberg in a single afternoon than in 4 years in Iraq.
In Iraq, after four years, 3100+ Americans killed; In our great Civil War, after 4 years 400,000 american soldiers killed; WWI, after 1.5 years 100,000+ american soldiers dead; WWII, after 4 years, 400,000+ american soldiers dead; Korean war, after 3 years, 54,000+ dead, Vietnam War, after 13 +years, 54,000 dead.
In the U.S., each year, 40,000 plus americans are killed by violence, and, 40,000+ are killed in automobile accidents.
As a people can we move on to new ideas and policy accomplishments?
