Global Warming/Climate Change is not as big a problem as some would have you to believe. A recent article in the New York Times has even asked Al Gore to stop all the hype:

The latest UN study on the subject says the seas could rise a MAXIMUM of 23 inches. Al was only 18.08 FEET off. That, my freind IS hype...

If you look up any global temperature chart on the net, you'll find the earth's temperature has only increased by about 6/10 of one degree (C) - that's 1.1 degree (F), in the last 125 years. The latest research shows that the methane from cows and pigs is a major factor in the increase of "heat trapping gas". So if Al Gore and all the alarmists really want to do something about climate change, they MUST become vegetarians and shut down cow and pig farms. I mean seriously, if they truly believe that global warming is as disastrous as they are preaching then they need to stop eating meat, period! I doubt that will happen. If not, then they are the hypocrites that some of us already suspect they are.

Global warming and global cooling are part of a natural and ongoing cycle of temperatures which are know as 'climatic cycles'.
The mean temperature of this planet cycles around the freezing point of water, and has done so since this planet had clouds and a star to orbit.
Ice cores have revealed these temperature cycles existed for tens of thousands if not millions of years.
Climatic cycle is normal and is unaffected by the puny efforts of humans.
Unless you believe in the junk science which claims that the last one hundred years of human effort has exceeded the greenhouse gas output of a single volcano.

some gases like caron di oxide (also called green house gases) form a layer in the atmosphere that prevents the heat from escaping. this trapped heat warms the earth.
this process is actually good, without which we'd all freeze to death but nowadays, with increased amounts of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, the earth is getting warmer than it should.
this is global warming. it's not gonna end unless we do something abt it - mainly cutting carbon emissions.

Global warming is caused due to excess emision of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, perfuorocarbon, hydrofluorocarbon, sulphur hexa fluoride. Doubt it God is preparing it for total destruction. The stupid people are speeding it up by cutting down all the water filtration (trees), Strip mining like the Gore family caused land to fill up the aqua system with soil. The industrial age and the usage of CFCs are the top culprits, IMHO. Especially CFCs, whioch I believe are still being used in 3rd world countries because CFCs are cheap, and are found in older appliances.

No one really knows. Some of it is man made some of it natural but no one really knows how much to attribute to each contribution. And yes, eventually, we'll fall back into another ice age.
