Given that the DUTY of the Monarch is to Advise, Guide and Warn the PM of the day and its' Govt, have the UK Monarchy allowed the Govt too much of a free hand over the years - particularly the last 10years?
I can't help wondering whether or not, during the weekly meetings with the PM, the Queen WARNED the PM against sending HER Troops into Iraq?
Did she ADVISE her PM that although duty-bound to honour NATO/UN comittments, plus whilst she recognised she would have no say regards AFGHANISTAN, as far as HER troops were concerned, she would only allow a small group to join NATO in an advisorsy capacity or basic construction/engineering capacity - as other NATO countries have done in order to honour thier NATO/UN comittments?
The PM and his Govt of the day are in power BECAUSE the Queen INVITED him to form a Govt NOT because he was democratically elected by the people... CONTRARY to popular belief.
Prince Charles AND Tony Bliar(sic) were educated BY THE SAME TUTOR...............
