The timing should be about right, when the ones NOW are weened, the new babies will arrive. As soon as the current babies are weened, remove them to another enclosure.

The mom wont usually eat one unless she sense that they are sick in some way. You have yourself some breeding machines. This cycle wont end unless you seperate male from female and also remove babies as soon as they are weaned. Where do ya live I'd like to have a baby hamster. Me and my grandma used to raise feeder mice and hamsters for a pet shop it was always so much fun--except for cleaning out the cage that was as big as I was (when I was 10).
