I'm trying to make a 9pin null modem cable out of serial leads I have. To load software to the satellite receiver, Apparantly its wires 2-3 that get changed, so I cut the lead in 2, striped the wires, soldered 2-3 and 3-2, soldered all the rest of the wires back together and taped individually using insulating tape, but it still does not work, any knwo where i've went wrong?

While I was driving my temperature gauge was
showing one line before red zone. Quickly I've
realized that my fan is not working properly because
there is no juice in my battery. Also, as it is not good to turn the engine off, I've found down hill way and let it cool to about line above 90. After that took a free road and took it down to 90.

When I was at home it went back to line before red zone. I've parked the car and turned it off.

**** I was thinking at that moment that it is good to
open radiator cap to released pressure. I did it slowly and the boiling coolant pored out.
*** Before I’ve opened it, the water wasn’t boiling. I know that pressure in the system eeps the boiling level of the coolant on higher level.

*** Was opening the radiator cap good idea?
*** Why was coolant boiling when I’ve opened the radiator cap as engine was not in the red zone.
*** Was my engine overheated?
*** Can it overheat before the red zone?

Ok now that you are reading this, I am curious of personal knowledge or links to such knowledge or superstitions regarding witchcraft. NOW before you answer...I am not posting this in hopes of learning about new age, neo-paganism...nor getting the "sterotypes were just created by men to..." blah blah blah lecture and "real" witches do not blah blah blah...speels.
I am not talking about any of that. There are myths and legends surrounding witches, just as there are superstitions for ladders, umbrellas, tuberculosis and chicken feeders! That is all I want to know, traditional superstitions about witches..yes the ugly, green faced, wart plagued, haggish witch. I want superstitions related to that for something I am working on. PLEASE do not give me the "harm none, we are good" lecture!! PLEASE I am NOT talking about Wiccans/Neo-Pagans.

I'm driving a red 1994 ford ranger pick-up that i purchased brand spanking new in 1995, it has over 250 thoundsand miles and still going strong and the engine is as quiet as a kentucky sunday morning ! I've always kept my oil changed on time and stuff like that,my family is pressuring me to get in debt and buy something newer, but i say why fix it if it ain't broken? how much longer can i have such luck with old faithful? she has'nt let me down yet and i see no reason to put her to sleep just yet! should i tell my family to take a hike?
