I can't see McCain to winning the republican nomination for president. I belive he will run as an independent, and split the republican vote. That will insure victory for whichever democrat is in the race. It's happened before, and recently.
Remember Ross Perot? He dropped out of the race when it looked like he had a chance to win, but came back in before election day to take votes away from Bush 41. Then he came back 4 years later to take votes away from Bob Dole. See a pattern, yet?
No? Okay, who was the benifactor in both cases? Bill Clinton, who won both elections despite never having gotten the majority of the vote. I don't believe in coincidences, but I do believe in patterns.
The mainstream media has been pumping McCain up for the last few years. They refer to him as the "republican front-runner." In what pole? Conservatives just don't like the guy. What the media giveth, the media taketh away. Beware, senator.
If another Clinton uses this tactic, don't be surprised.
