It is a fact that the hadith were recorded +-300 years after the death of Mohammed. The hadith have numerous contradictions. In the quran itself god makes the statement" If this (ie quran) is from other than god then you will find therein much discrepancy. By the same logic, hadith is not from God because it contains much discrepancy.
A simple test today would be to pass a message around the room between 10 people. You will in no way get the same message on the other side. Yet, why do people expect a bunch of nomad desert bound Arabs in AD 600 to pass messages across 300 years and countless generations and still produce a positive result. This is ludicrous & illogical in the extreme!
Quran does not acknowledge or sanction existence of hadith. Quran says it is complete and a perfect guide for mankind. In my opinion, hadith is no more than a history book, which is useful as such, but has no religous significance.
In quran god says follow Muhammad, I say show me what he said!
