If you were supposed to get the shot back in february but didn't get it, and now it's march could there be a possible chance of pregnancy? and how long does it take for the shot to be out of your system? are there any symptoms of the shot starting to go out of your system?

Yes, you can get pregnant. It depends on how long you were on it before. It generally takes about 18 months for it to get out of your system. I didn't have any indications of it going out of my system but it was a bad experience being on it. I bled heavily for months and gained alot of weight.

If you were supposed to get it back in February, you are at risk from that week till your next shot. You should get a pregnancy test before you get the Depo shot again. You usually have a few days from the date your shot is due to get your shot.

I was on depo for four years. Thank goodness I'm off of it!

I know people who have gotten pregnant after being off of the shot. SO it isn't long after your shot is due that it is possible to get pregnant. And it could take a year for your period to come back.

You are supposed to take the depo proveria shot once every three months. If you were supposed to get it in february and missed your appointment there is a chance of pregnancy; you should start obstaining from sex (or using a condom) until you can make another appointment to get a shot. also you could try a pregnancy test to be sure, since there wont be a way to tell if your pregnant since the depo shot gives you less periods
