Race and ethnicity is always a sensitive issue as is and I don't like being threatened around March 17 that I'd better say I'm Irish.I was never called Irish before, and I know they don't live anywhere near where I live, but I'm suppossed to say I'm Irish.I don't mind authentic Irish people celebrating St.Patrick,an English priest whom Irish people say they kidnapped, then he taught them Christianity.I'm not overly fond of any group ,as they all have serious flaws, but I don't like being accused and disrespected and harassed. If I were dictator,I'd only allow true Ethnic Irish to go to legally sanctioned St.Patrick's parties, and wear green-no one else would be allowed to that day,or coerced,as to not make a confusion-it could be aired on T.V. like a parade is.Everyone else would have to wear their national costume that day and ID tags as not to be confused. I like clear lines of demarcation,so I know what is what.
