As a Christian I consider the following: Perhaps Adam was created 10,000 years ago at the end of the Pleistocene Era after the 6th mass extinction. There could have been pre-existing humanoids at that time neanderthals, etc., but the Bible says that Adam was created. It says first that animals were created after their kind, which implies that they were created similar to prehisoric animals that existed before. That is they shared a similar DNA structure, and were created through genetic engineering. Perhaps Adam was likewise created after man kind, similar in DNA structure to evolutionary prehisoric man, though created with genetic engineering. The one difference is Adam was also created in the image of God, that is having an spiritual element to his nature.
Tell me would this violate evolution? Would it mean that God knows at least as much science as we do today?
