I don't know what to expect from my "potential partner" There's been too much lying, being used, being deceived. I'm going to give it a rest now. I have goals that I want to accomplish. At my age, I learned from my mistakes and i don't want them to happen again. If the right guy ever comes and sweeps me off my feet, all I want is happiness, supporting, honesty, non-materialistic guy. The physical attributes well, it doesn't matter to me, but hey I can be a bit picky. Tall, wonderful, colored eyes, hairy.. ;)

Bottom line, all I am looking for is my true love.

I look for someone who is smarter than your average bear, has a sense of humor, shares similar interests, and can hold a decent conversation. I expect to be treated with respect, honesty , perhaps a little understanding and compromise, and a really big............heart.

I admit I can be shallow and look for certain physical characteristics too: nice eyes and smile, facial hair, and a furry chest. Nothing is set in stone mind you but first impressions are usually made based on looks.

I look for someone that can keep me smiling. Either by making me happy or by having a great sense of humour. I also get bored easily so they need to be able to mix things up so we don't get in a routine.

I met him as we both volunteered for a health program in the early days of the AIDS crisis. Because we were both HIV negative, we thought we would have a long life together. However, in the course of our 11 year relationship, we both got cancer. I survived mine, he did not.
