I don’t drink alcohol much. Not because I have a moral problem with it, just because I don’t like how it makes me feel. I feel like life is short enough that I would like to remember it, and not waste it in a drunken fog, or hangover hell. I do on occasion have a drink with friends, (maybe once or twice a year). My husband on the other hand has a completely different opinion on drinking….he loves to come home and relax every night with a six-pack of beer in his hand.

Then he gets upset when I don’t find him attractive, as he smells of beer, and because I don’t find him attractive at this point, he results to searching for porn on our family’s computer. This has caused many problems in our marriage, he thinks I’m controlling and should just get over the smell of beer and since I don’t its my fault he has to look at porn. I feel disrespected and unloved. We made a rule now that if he drinks we don’t have sex, but now, I feel rejected every time he reaches for the can of miller light.

Does the fact that he drinks mean he is already unhappy? He says he is happy except for the fact that I try to control his drinking? I need to figure this out… please help.

I had dated this arab man (Syria) for about a year when he was doing a fellowship here awhile back, he then moved to California and he then wanted me to fly out an see him while he paid the cost. It didn't last for long since we were to far apart and we both started dating other people. Just recently I got an email from him saying how he still thought about me and missed the things we did together. So he paid to fly me out again. We had a great time and we really got along, like always. Anyway, when I mentioned that I was going on a trip to Ireland for two weeks with a girlfiend of mine he seemed quite surprised, almost like he was a little offended. Then he asked me what my parents thought of me traveling like that. "I'm 39 years old!" Anyway, since I have been back from seeing him, he just wrote me a brief email saying he hoped I made it back safely. Now he is acting stand- offish and I don't know if it was the trip to Ireland that upset him or what? Do you know?

I know that I have to have good qualifications if I want to get a good job. But is being too qualified for a job seen as a bad thing? Will they want to hire me if I have the stuff not ot just work in that department, but to run it? What do employers think when they see someone who could get a better job somewhere else but is applying for something below their abilities?

In december i got 2 xmas inflatables stolen off my lawn...then one night, i forgot to lock my old car that i use to have and they stole a cd player out of my car...now my dad just bought me a 2003 ford taurus and when i went to take my daughter to school, they were fingerprints on my passenger side window like someone was looking in...i am so afraid someone is going to steal my new car...it has a theft deterent in the car and i alarm it from my car keychain..what are my chances they are going to break in my car?

hiya i have just been told i have a bacterial vaginosis which i believe i have had for 3 month since my miscarriage - i have been given metronidazole to take twice a day for a week - does this clear it up - and does it normally return ? as i hope it dosnt - i have stopped douching and using perfumed soap which can cause the problem - do you think it will return ? How long after can you drink alcohol once the course is up ? and are the side effects really bad ?
