Phantom and phantasm are synonymous, but ghost is slightly different. Whereas phantom and phantasm imply a visual apparition or illusion of some kind, a ghost implies the soul of a person. A ghost doesn't necessarily have to be visible, but by definition phantoms and phantasms are. Also by definition, phantoms or phantasms aren't necessarily spirits.

In practice these three words are basically interchangable though--if you use one, the reader can interpret the meaning through context.
