Would a guy be too intimidated to make a move on a coworker just because SHE makes more money and is in a higher position than him??

I've heard that some people act this way because they think that the other is better than them and they don't want them to realize it? Like they have to beat the other down to prop themselves up? Have you ever done this or know of cases like this? Is this true or is it just that people really think you're worthless?
My exboyfriend would put me down a lot, and insult me, but defend himself saying that it was the truth. He said nice things about the way i look, and then later he would tell me i'm ugly, and very specific about why. Sometimes he said he didn't tell me how much he liked me because i would be all cocky about it. But i know i don't look anything like his 'ideal' woman. I just didn't know what to believe anymore.

feb. 11-17 was the worst week of my life. on monday i asked this guy to be my valentine. then on tuesday his best friend said he said no. then on valentine's day... oh what a long day. everyone got their best friends something. diego (the person i asked) got a bear and a balloon. in the morning he got the bear and started flirting with me, even though he said no! but it still made me feel better. then at lunch (the worst time of my life) cruz (who's diego's best friend) gives him the balloon. i was talking with my friends, when i hear a popping noise. it was diego's balloon! then we had to go back in and cruz tells everyone that i asked diego to be my valentine. nice cruz... thanx for that... especially on valentine's day. we had a valentine's party and during the whole thing, i was depressed. then we had to go to gym class. i talked with my michael and kenny about the whole thing. i was so sad. they made me feel a lot better, though. then on thursday we had the book fair.

I was easdropping on a conversation on the school bus. Right now I am running an entry level Dell with a Celeron D 2.53 GHz processor, no video card, and 2 gigs of RAM.

I am willing to put out a couple thousand for a high end PC, for using photoshop and 2D animation programs. I would like to know what kind of an increase in speed I am looking at, and what set up is best. I would like a graphics card that gives extremely accurate colors (I already have a great monitor, a SyncMaster 204B)

Also, it would help if I could get a computer that can use the 2x 1G DDR memory sticks I already have. Im guessing I will want to go to 4 gigs of RAM.

I'm not able to move, travel or spread my wings coz these old morons would die out for all I know which one day they will definitely for sure (but before that I'm gonna be dead seeing my ambitions and dreams dying before my own eyes), something my conscience prevents me - I can't even think of being in a relationship coz these sods are two mouths to feed already.

Seriously if someone were to kill the both of them and take the blame, I wouldn't be sitting on Yahoo Answers but be the next Bill Gates or something.

I'm not saying you believe in God, so don't think that i am. I am simpling saying that you atheist ,say you have no belief, in a higher form of life. That is your choice. but that is not what i am saying. You base you belief on nothing, but it is based on something. In order to believe that nothing exist, one must believe in something.
