Guy # 2. Two top 15 outfielders with great track records and a solid pitcher for Reyes (a dominant SS...best in baseball) Giambi...questionable given his history and average 1st base numbers, Ordonez...again recent history not on his side and average outfield numbers and Dice K is an unknown commodity. He may be dominant or he may be the next Japanese pitching almost sensation. My guess is he will be very good and have a top of the rotation type year but to expect 20 wins and 200 Ks might be wishing for too much. Weaver could win 12-15 games and will pick up 150-170 Ks himself with a good ERA so guy #2 gets better top end players overall. Of course with that being said, it really depends on each guys lineup and what they already have. The rest of each guys roster will dictate how wise it would be for them to give up the guys they are offering.

Matsuzka's a wild card. Ichiro made a lot of teams when he came over. Kideki Irabu killed more when he came over. Anyone that trades him, or trades for him, is a fool. He's worth drafting and taking the chance, but whoever drafted him obviously values him more than you (or you would have drafted him already) and is going to want that value in trade. So if you trade for him, you have to give more than you thought he was worth in the first place.

To give an answer you're looking for, Giambi, Reyes...is likely the better end, mainly because Reyes is one of the very best at a position that's relatively thin and a much wider spread from the top to the bottom than anyone else mentioned.

Team one by far, he gets two first round players plus a solid pitcher. Team two gets a pretty good 1B a first round pick in reyes, a 3rd outfielder in Ordonez and an unknown in matsuzaka

Guy 1, only if Giambi and Ordonez get their stats up!

Safest bet is to be guy 2
