avoid, and why. I mean like shampoo, conditioner and hair care brands. I've heard Pantene is bad bad bad...is it true?

It depends on ur hair,it varies from one person to nother,like Pantene works for me.Gives my hair the volume & my hair is thick n long.It works for me.U cant juz listen to wot ppl say,but u can always experiment wid a few brands,u'll know wot works for u even after 2washes.If it makes ur hair dry & course,then that isnt the brand for u.If it makes ur hair smooth & silky, u'll know that works for u.Its all bout experimenting.Took me awhile to find certain brands i like to use for my hair.I use Pantene Shampoo & conditioner but 1-2x a week i use L'occitane's Olive Hair Mask to moisturize it.It works wonders.So,ask ur frenz wot they use,and maybe buy a small bottle of the brand they're using,and try it! Stay away from Pantene. The results might be good at first, but after a while your hair will become very damaged. Pantene has wax in it and it will strip your hair of natural oils. STAY AWAY FROM PANTENE. If you want a good-smelling product, go with the garden collection sensous shine shampoo/conditoner in love spell.

Pretty much all of them cause they all have chemicals that ruin your hair, try using Trader Joe's nourish spa, it's all natural and does not contain laurel/laureth sulfates. Some products that contain this are, loreal, pantene, Garnier nutris and John Fredia. I hope this helped!

The hair stylist i use told me that Pantene is mostly perume.
It doesnt really help your hair.
I anything it dries it out.
