At what age should we stop giving children allowance?

We give the kids $20 a week allowance for helping around the house. I wonder if we should change to no allowance but pay them for jobs they do that we would hire out if they didn't do it. Like mowing the yard, cooking dinner, etc. They are teenagers.

Need work advice. Stupid Office Politics?

One of our officers of a bank decided to quit, and I noticed that it looked like a lot of his file information was gone. I went to the regional manager and mentioned that I felt like there were files missing. He then turned to legal who contacted the person who left and he said he didn't take anything. So now the regional manager doesn't want to look bad and thinks that I cried wolf. He had another manager go look at the files and she said the same thing that it does appear that stuff is not there. However, the files were never in any order and so I can't say with a definate 100% that I know there are files missing. I don't want my regional manager to look bad, but why am I feeling bad for at least bringing it to his attention?

what do you think the court ruling will be for a minor who got extremely drunk, violent, taunted cops,...?

this guy who lives in my dorm building got extremely wasted one night (he's18). he got really violent and threatend/tried to kill the girl who lives across the hallway cause he hates her, but she ran into her room and locked the door. he went into the lounge and trashed the place, throwing couches around and stuff. she called cava, the schools medical service for drunk people but he resisted them so they left and called the police. he resisted the police to so they beat him down and cuffed him. he was cursing like crazy, spitted on their faces, and taunted the female cop as she punched him in the face "keep punching me *****, i'll get you fired." finally they subdued him after beating the crap out of him. he's in school now but his court hearing is next week. what do u think will be the verdict?
