my friend thinks it may be rude to a have a dolphine tattooed on a lady.

I know people with dolphins tattooed on them. They like dolphins, so they got the tattoo. Usually, it's one of the first tattoos a girl will get when they turn 18 years of age - and usually warrants a cover up later on in life.
It's a dumb tattoo, if you ask me. Tattoo posers get dolphin tattoos, tazmanian devil tattoos, or chinese symbols. If you're going to get a tattoo - get a beautiful piece of art and don't be so discreet about it.

Dolphins usually mean a member of the Royal Naval Submarine Service (of which women aren't allowed to join) but if your friend has met a few sailors she probably knows what rude is and may well be right!

what? why would it be rude? i guess most people who have dolphin tattoos love dolphins or the ocean. but i don't know any specific meaning that they may have.

There is no offical meaning. The meaning is whatever the lady wants it to be.
Most commonly it would be that they love the sea and dolphins, or they have swam with them.
It means different to different people

Well tattoos can be for anyone.there are more girlier ones for boys and boyish ones for boys but dolphins or sea animals can be for both so dont believe what he said and tell him my information.PLEASE CHOOSE ME AS YOUR BEST ANSWER

jane vile sums it up perfectly, when i worked in a studio they were picked by the teeny bopper brigade that just wanted a tattoo to be cool, all my art is unique and well thought out, not picked off a wall like thousands of people do, they are unimaginative
