What is your personal philosophy that you live your life by?
And why did you choose that?
What does it mean to you?

Why on the one hand do we discourage our children from believing in imaginary friends, and yet at the same time tell then if they don't go to bed straight away, one of the above will get them, is it not getting them to believe in something that is not real, whereas an imaginary friend may not be real but is sometimes of comfort to the child involved, as they feel that they are not alone that instead all the things they want to try as they grow up, can be experienced with an imaginary playmate, so what i'm asking is whether its right to stop them believing in a friend while at the same time get them to believe in a monster instead ?

I know that "Ring Around the Rosey" has to do with the plague. I'd like to know what other rhymes were based on such historical events.

I made friends with a guy at my new job. We where sending funny emails back and forth to each other. Well he sent a very inapropriate response asking if something turned me on and while my husband was in my email looking for something, that response came in as a new email. My husband thinks I am having an affair with this guy or at least talking to him like I am. I am not attracted to this other guy in any way thaught we where just friends. I sent him a reply that his response was not appropriate, and to no longer send me emails but my husband thinks I am just trying to cover myself. I have never cheated or had any intentions to cheat. I love my husband very much. What can I do to get him to believe me?

We have been married about 2 years now, and we are currently renting. We are trying to find a place that we can afford, in a nice neighborhood, where we possibly can raise children one day and possibly not have to move. So I wanted to know what the pros and cons are to owning both house or town house to help us decide which one we should get. I like the idea of having a screened in pool in my back yard with a sliding glass door, and the privacy with a house. On a town house, i like the fact that we aren't responsible for the outside, but then again, i feel like you're still paying for it to be taken care of and you don't even really own it, just the inside of the walls. where with a house i honestly don't mind doing the outside work, or paying someone but at least you own it? confused. help me out. yes, it is our first home and we both have good jobs and credit.

My boyfriend broke up with me. We are both in our 30's and I thought I'd finally found the man I'd spend the rest of my life with. We didn't have a big fight or argument. It was a calm break up but my heart feels like it's been ripped in two. We decided to spend one last day together, yesterday. It was a great day! He asked me to bring my girls (I have 3) by on Saturday so he could talk with them and say good bye. It's going to be very difficult for all of us. My daughters love him. I'm not looking forward to it. Yet when he was leaving he smiled at me and told me he would talk with me before Saturday. Even after I told him that it would be too hard to keep in contact and not be together. I'm thouroughly confused! Part of our problem is communication. I don't know if he's wanting to try to make it work or if he's playing games with me. He hasn't been a game player in the past. I don't know what to think. Your opinions are appreciated! Thanks!

I want to live my next life backwards.
You start out dead and get that out of the way.
Thenyou wake up in an old age home feeling better every day.
You get kicked out for being too healthy; go collect your pension,
and then when you start work, you get a gold watch on your first day.
You work 40 years until you're young enough to enjoy your retirement.

You drink alcohol, you party, you're generally
promiscuous and you get
ready for High School. You go to primary school, you
become a kid, you
play, you have no responsibilities, you become a baby,
and then...

You spend your last 9 months floating peacefully in
luxury, in spa-like
conditions; central heating, room service on tap,
larger quarters every
day, and then you finish off as an orgxsm.

Ok... I just bought a Samsung 32" LE32R74BDX LCD TV - I researched the product and many people seem to think that this TV is the best 32" LCD on the market at present - certinainly at its price point.

However, I plugged it in this morning, and I plugged in the Sky, with a shiny new gold Scart cable..... and the picture is a massive disppointment. It simply can't keep up with any movement and is grainy, goes blurry whenever anybody moves.

Live Sports is a washout - there's too much graininess and even ZX Spectrum-style colour clash!

Can anyone advise? I haven't tried the built-in freeview receiver yet as I don't have a regular aerial cable.

Have I bought the wrong Sky box? Did I need an HD one?

Very disappointed and the set will be going back on Monday, unless someone can tell me that I'm doing something wrong!

As I was trying to pack for vacation, my 3-year-old daughter was having a wonderful time playing on the bed. At one point, she said, "Dad, look at this," and stuck out two of her fingers.

Trying to keep her entertained, I reached out and stuck her fingers in my mouth and said, "Daddy gonna eat your fingers!" pretending to eat them before I rushed out of the room again.

When I returned, my daughter was standing on the bed staring at her fingers with a devastated look on her face.

I said, "What's wrong honey?"

"Daddy, where's my booger
