I have a Yamaha 459 receiver and Jamo speakers (5) without any subwoofer. If I play DVDs, I can not clearly hear the dialogues but music plays fine. If it is 'Pearl Harbour', the planes and bombings sound fine, but can't hear what the actors are talking - dialogues that are spoken!

I use digital cable from my 5.1 compatible DVD player to the Yamaha receiver. Same problem if I hear the FM radio on the system. The conversations of announcers does not sound as great as the music played on the channels.

Any settings that I am missing?

I think they have hit an all time low. I have been watching AMC since it started and I have never been so appalled at this stupid storyline.. Anyone feel the same way?

I was given a 30day notice and I plan to fight the reason behind it (my rent is current and it stems from a disagreement regarding the utilities) but I anticipate being given a 3day notice once the 30day notice expires (which is the 5th of March) and then a notice to vacate. Since air has particles constantly colliding with each other, why can't we feel the collisions? Why don't the collisions in the air make regular stationary objects move around too?

Is it because they are not high energy? Does it have something to do with elastic/inelastic collisions?

... that sports fans in the West, most of which are clearly homophobic (Patriots fans, Brazilian and Italian football fans, etc.), are unable to see the latent homosexuality in collective games such as football, American football, and basketball? Moreover, isn't it equally humorous to see otherwise "manly" men hugging and kissing each other when their teams score? Do these folks not realize that most sports were created in older societies (Greece ands Rome, for instance) where folks would f**k pretty much anything that moved and looked human?

Our wedding is in September in my fiance's grandpa's church. (his grandpa is the preacher) Both of our families are very laid back as well as the pastor. We have decided to not follow most of the churchy traditional ways. We're going to show a short slideshow before the ceremony starts, we arent doing the unity candle but doing the sand, and we are having a bridal party we just arent doing the mothers that are ushered in, and I dont want to walk down to the wedding march. I want some other song / music being played. Im country but my fiance isnt as much as I am and I still want the ceremony to be somewhat churchy but not, if that makes sense. What songs can we play when the bridal party walks in, I walk in, the sand thing is being done, im kinda lost on it. Can I play one song for the bridal party and I to walk into or have two different songs? Any help would be nice.
