Generally speaking we Brunettes look best in...
Red
Black
Deep purple
Royal Blue
Silver
Hot pink
(very intense/deep colors)
where as blondes look best in lighter, pastels.
But your personality/and overall look will vary this factor somewhat.

I don't know about actual style of the dress, but a nice green color would be really flattering. Green looks really good on brunettes and brings out the oragne tones in skin which actually makes you seem tanner.

I have a similar coloring make up with pale skin with red undertones and deep brown hair. I think the best colors to wear are: deep purple (which are all the rage right now anyways), cranberry, black, chocolate brown, and red (but not any read, as an earlier poster said, it has to be a blue-red not orange-red, be careful with this one). Hot pink is very pretty on dark haired, fair skins. Baby blue also goes well with brunettes.

Red is a gorgeous color for your skin tone and hair color. Black is always good but I suggest going with color so that your features are glorified.

Black is a sure color for any skin tone. All females should have the staple little black dress in her closet. You can also change it up with different jewelry and different shoes.

Without seeing you, you are probably in the "summer" or cool family. Pastels are usually ok, but lavenders can be a little tricky. You can pull off a really true red (no oranges in it) as well. Just stay away from warm tones. They will bring out all the imperfections in your face (acne, shadows, bags, etc.).

red is a great colour for brunettes it really goes with the hair colour and isnt to bold as long as you dont get bright red its also great mixed with black

Aqua. its hard to find but it makes your hair stand out and your makeup as well.
