I placed an order on Jan 8 this year from Canada, and still haven't received it as it "has gone out surface and not by air" (they're words). How long am I expected to wait if something's gone out by surface? I ordered beauty products. Do you think I should ask for a refund? After all, it's their mistake that it wasn't sent by air? Money has been taken from my account.

Many churches read a passage, and then say: this is the word of God, or this is the word of the Lord.

I think of God slaying the first-born male in every Egyptian household on the night of the Passover, of Samuel instructing King Saul to practice genocide on the Amalekites or even Elisha calling out bears to eat up some little boys who have insulted him. If this is the word of God, I want nothing to do with this awful deity.

I'm an addict in recovery with 20 mos clean time. My ex has sole custody of my little girl, (8 yrs old), and I've recently been granted unsupervised visitation. He has fought me on this, and won't let family see her either. She is scared of me in front of him, but fine once he's gone. Says she doesn't want to go home. I'm trying to find police reports of him beating her in two different grocery stores, and beating his dog so bad police were called. City P.D. records will only give blacked out personal info versions.Guardian ad Litem, tho on my side, won't do anything, nor will C.S.

Suzie (of mass 98 kg) is roller-blading down
the sidewalk going 40 miles per hour. She
notices a group of workers down the walkway
who have unexpectedly blocked her path, and
she makes a quick stop in 1.1 seconds.
What is Suzie's average acceleration?
Answer in units of m/s^2. Also, what force was exerted to stop her, and where did this force come from?

Okay, so for the first part I subtracted 40 from 0 (for initial and final velocity) and got -40. Then I divided by 2 to get 20. I divided it all by 1.1 and got an answer, but that answer is in mph/s. How do I convert it? Is that how I'm supposed to do it?
Then for the force I multiplied 98 by my answer for acceleration. I got an answer, but I know it's wrong because I didn't convert the last answer.
As far as the force that is stoping her, isn't it a combination of the friction of rollerskates, gravity, the friction of her against air, and the ground pushing up?

I fancy this good friend of mine who is also a work colleague, we often have lunch together with other common friends at work. There were two times in the past (when we were alone and outside of work) that he mentioned about unsuccessfully having chased other girls. I don't know whether he was testing me or what... anyhow, I responded like a good friend, and offered my advice and tried to help. The first instance I said, that's her loss, and offered my help if he wanted it. The second instance I thought of excuses for the second girl and explained the possible excuses, even though inside I was hurt :(

do you think I have given him the wrong idea? Would he take it as I only like him as a friend?

For years I`ve been researching for some bit of evidence confirming the Red smear against Charlie Chaplin....ie that he was a Jew named Youngstein, etc.

Nothing.

Evidence from the Hollywood end was that he was 100% WASP. He belonged to the LAAC. He frequently clubs and societies which excluded Jews from membership.

And then, voila. All at once I came upon a small shred of evidence about his appearance at the Cambridge Music Hall in the East End of London.

Chaplin had been given a ticket by the peanut merchant for whom he worked- actually it was Barney Springer and the peanuts were only one of his concessions- and did a standup routine at the end of George Robey`s act which sent the people wild.

Well, I`ve been including this in a proposal for a book I`m doing (trying to get a publisher) and the next thing I see is somehow talking about Chaplin`s first appearance in the East End and the antiSemitic shtik he did.

Makes you think. Mum is dumb or smart???????
