"Civilization came through two things chiefly: the home, which developed those social dispositions that form the psychological cement of society; and agriculture, which took man from his wandering life as hunter, herder, and killer, and settled him long enough in one place to let him build homes, schools, churches, colleges, universities, civilization. But it was woman who gave man agriculture and the home; she domesticated man as she had domesticated the sheep and the pig. Man is woman's last domestic animal, and perhaps he is the last creature that will be civilized by woman. The task is just begun".(will durant, a philosopher)

Almost 60 pubs shut down for good every month, according to figures released by the Campaign for Real Ale (Camra).
They say more than 1,300 pubs nationwide are currently under threat from closure.
The bulk of closures (80%) happen in urban areas where the premises are often converted into housing, restaurants, shops or offices.

I don't go very often, maybe once or twice a year. i used to go weekly but drinking in pubs is so expensive. £10+ for 3 pints is silly money.

It seems I am having a lot of problems with taxes today! My husband's grandfather passed away and left an inheritance to the family. In November of 2006, the lawyer or accountant of the estate sent out the Schedule K-1's (Form 1041) for the 2005 tax year. Of course, we have already filed our 2005 taxes. Do we need to amend them? Or is this filed differently (like with 2006's return)? My brother-in-law took his papers to his accountant, but he couldn't tell me what the accountant did and he's too lazy to find out. All he could tell me is that he owes about $1000 and it's not due until April 15. BUT... the person handling the estate told my father-in-law all we'd each owe is about $300, so I'm wondering if my brother-in-law's accountant even filed his correctly. And does anyone recommend a tax preparer, independent or corporation? We live in Orange County, CA.

I was with this girl for a month. She said she wanted to take things slow, so I was super cool and confident but erotic at the same time. All this up until she started saying how she loved the sound of my voice, the way I touched her and stuff like that. I felt I was in a safe place to love. Then I slowly let my defences slide and started showing affection, telling her over the phone that I miss her and finally admitting in bed, after 20 days or so, that I was in love with her. 5 days later she said "I guess I see you as a friend" ????. I know that girl was melting in my hands when we were together. What on earth went wrong? Her best friend said afterwards that she got scared and had second thoughts about ending it. Now it hurts like hell and I just don't want to repeat the same mistakes. Is it wrong to express such strong feelings so soon? Does it scare people ? Is love forbidden before a certain point?

It was nearly six years since we married (me and my wife). After two years of our married she was pregnant but failed to give a birth due to unexpected rise in her pressure while she was eight month pregnant. Since then we tried to have another but failed to do so. Her cycle is rarely appearing possibly at two or three months intervals and also in two weeks interval (though it is only once). This day she has never seen any cycle for the last four months. We have consulted our physician, one of the best physicians in the country where we are living, several times. he tried all his best including fertility treatment (injection) but not successful. We are very eager to have our biological baby. This issue disturbs us seriously, particularly frustration come to my wife. I raise issues like adopting but she strongly resists me. Now I am 39 and she is 40 and we love each other. How can we have our biological baby after ….? Is there any one who had such experience? Are there technologies that really help us? Please…. please help us……..
