Interestingly mammals have very rarely evolved poisonous tissue/blood to counter predation, whereas it is very common in insects and plants and exists to some degree in fish. Is there something that is preventing this from evolving or is it present to a lesser degree in mammals, as in some mammals taste bad etc. I feel there must be an evolutionary trade off to being a poisonous mammal for this not to have occurred, or that to distribute enough quick acting poison is probably impossible in large mammals. But even bad tasting or inedible flesh should be enough for predators to quickly learn not to prey on certain mammals. For instance if rabbits were as poisonous as a cane toad or at least inedible, what would stop rabbits from taking over the world (so to speak)?
That seems to point to me an important fact, that intraspecies competition is driving evolution more strongly than interspecies competition, also possibly digestive counter measures are evolving among predators in tandem

Im 24 years old. Ive saved a good amount of money but I also have some debt. I have apx 50k in debt (all my car and student loans, NO credit cards). Ive knocked this down from 65k.

I have apx. 20k in assets. I have about 7.5k in what I call an emergency account, and 3k in a small funds account. I also have a well funded 401k.

Whats my next step? Any extra money I have should i try to knock down my debt, start investing in stocks, or both?

My hubby is a perfect caring and loving person, but when it comes to sex. he does not need any. he can stay without it for month and I am just the opposite. I think about it every second of day. I am getting less and less attracted to him and just fantasize of someone who can;t get enough of me and make me feel desired. i am thinkng to make him see a doctor, but still i do not feel attracted to him anymore. I love him in every other way. What should I do?

I work in a small (5 people) office and a few of my coworkers have asked me a couple of times to hang out with them socially~ I've always declined. Now one of them is getting married in a few months and has hinted that we're all invited to the wedding. I can barely tolerate these people for the 40 hours I'm being paid to be with them; and I can't even imagine being with them in my free time. How can I tell them in a nice way that I don't want to hang out with them outside work?

I am a huge fan of Norah Jones. I love her so much, I literally wore out her "Feels Like Home" album and had to buy another one. I have a hard time finding artists who are very similar to her jazzy/blues style though...does anyone have any suggestions? I am a big fan of older artists like Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald and like them as well.

My puppy has lost almost all of her puppy teeth except two of her canines. The new canines are already coming in beside the old ones and it is hurting her terribly. I have been dating this guy for three years. The first year was great, then the last two down hill. He was lazy, selfish and just didn't care. I finally broke up with him.
