It's a 97 VW Jetta GLS. It has many electrical problems that come and go. The engine light was on for about three weeks and then transmission light came on for about five minutes. It was stuck in second gear in safe mode for about a week and then all of a sudden yesterday it finally changed gears and the engine light went off. I took it to a mechanic and he said after driving it w/the transmission in 2nd gear it needed a new number 6 cyllindroid. Now that the problem appears to have fixed itself I don't know if I should keep it or trade it in on a different car worth about $9,000. There are only 109k miles on it. The engine light has been coming off and on for some time now and I think it might be the after market radio that was put in causing electrical problems. I took it to Carmax and they only offered me $750 as a trade in and I know I could get more than that, VW's go forever. Any advice would be appreciated!

Last week on the news - I forget what channel they had a story about a guy that raised money on the internet and got a corporate sponsor and was going to ask his girlfriend to marry him during one of the superbowl commercials - I watched all the commercials and I didn't see it - anyone know anything about this?

I am talking about the level of Fascist corporate Capitalism currently in USA that swears YOU have a democracy yet the political/voting/polling system is completely corrupt! No voter currently has the ability to trace their ballot cast from polling point through transmiting points of numeric results! Where is our democracy?

I recently visited the dentist and they said I had a receding gum line. They educated me on how to brush lighter and in circles. I understand that this will stop the gums from receding but will it repair the damage that I have already done? Any other suggestions?

Can someone will themselves to do something they find undesireable without the pros outweighing the cons?

Could somebody freely will themselves to cut off their own leg so they can walk worse?

Unless of course you think walking worse is better for you. But then you're probably mentally ill and you're not freely willing yourself to think that.

I currently work 16 hours a week and my husband is on job seekers. He has just got a full time job but is not very well paid. Will my tax credits still pay out for childcare for when im working (2 days a week) I really hope so coz childcare is £68 for 2 days and its almost what i earn a week. i am a 27 year old lady no children never got pragnent,Every time when im on my periods i get this severe pains in my abdomen stomach,neausea,dizzness , diarriah and headaches
When i started the periods i did feel some pains but they were not severe like now,now when im on my periods i cant even work,this started early 2005
I did go to the doctor she told me she does not know the reason,what i must do is to take pain killers 2 days before,but still it does not help and im using the strongest pills still not helping
I just want to know what causes this pains all of a sudden and how can i treat them
