US war can he/she be removed from office/impeached to help US troops (who can do nothing to protest a faulty commander in chief)?

nope. sorry. Incompetance isn't an impeachable offense. To be removed he'd have to do something illegal. Find one of his wire-taps and have the person sue. That'd do it.
