Atheists are saying that they do not like that the religious right is trying to legislate religion. Specifically this has to do with gay marriage, and abortion.

My question is, could an atheist be pro-life? And if so, is the atheist trying to force his/her religious beliefs on the country by wanting more pro-life laws?

Also, while I haven't met any, what if there was an atheist who was against gay marriage? Would that hypothetical atheist be trying to put their religious beliefs on society?

This question is specific to those issues, not to the intelligent design debate, cause no atheist would be for the introduction of a theory about a sky wizard inventing some secret decoder ring from dirt that becomes a human being.

Does this turn the debate upside down on its head?

Meaning of a Dream ?

I want to know the meaning of this dream I been having lately.
From What I can rembember in the dream I am in a big abandoned wareshosue, with alot of unknown people(unknown to me) and we are hidden from Aliens that are attacking us.In the dream all this people are following my lead and I get this feeling of being Ultra Confident (is like a euphoric feeling) And I am in command of Everything I also get the feeling of really helping and carrying for these people.While we are in the Warehouse People are always coming on to me for advice.

I been having this dream for a while now (3months) atleast twice a week and is really intriguing, I would like to hear from a freudian perspective.

"Speaking in Tongues" - what could be the meaning of this text?

I tried "speaking in tongues" and wrote down what came to my mind. Does this mean anything to anyone? I would love to know if this is a language anyone recognizes.Thanks.

I can't drill through steel! ARGGGH!!!?

I'm trying to stick these blinds up, and the wall frame of the window seems to be made of some sort of steel!

I started with a black wood bit at first which obviously didn't work. Then I went to Bunnings Warehouse and they sold me a High Speed Steel bit.... it cut the first hole to 1mm depth.... now it doesn't do anything.

I then went back bunnings gave me a Cobalt Hige performance drill bit...... went back home..... nothin... I went slow just like they told me, but no joy.

What can i do??? the screws I'm preparing the hole for are 3mm gauge with a 2mm core.

Army Infantry?

Can colorblind people be in the Army infantry? If they cannot then are there waivers for it? And if colorblind people are not allowed to be infantry how come they get in anyways? I have talked to a lot people in the Army who say that they have at least two colorblind people with them in battle.

Girls and relationships?

I cant believe it, girls are scary, they smother you. Whenever you get closer in a relationship they smother you and then you must do what they say or you feel like crap and break their hearts. AHHHHH! i thought i was fearless, i was just having fun with girls and a girl likes me alot, and i like her but i dont like her. AHHHH! help this is killing me, do all girls do this or what? I think I strongly dislike white women?

In my African American studies class we were taking about interracial relationships. And I told the teacher that it makes me reallly mad to see a white woman with a black man. Especially if he was smart, educated, and articulate.He had asked me why and I told him that I feel like I'v ebeen slapped in the face hwen I see them together becaus emy father had left my mom for a Black woman and I caught them cheating andI just felt hurt because he was spending more time with the white woman than me and my family. It really has broken my relationship with my dad and I never forgave. And I was in a very serious relationship with a guy who I loved so much and still do. But he had told me that he wanted to a white girlfriend because I stopped straigneing my hair and I was a virgin still and he saud that white girls giv eit up more easliy. This has really hurt me deeply and alot of black men I know have praised white women but then they talk trash about black women.

Signs of a miscarriage?

I am almost 6 weeks pregnant and have some brownish discharge. Is this a sign of a miscarriage or is this normal? I already have an appointment for the Dr. later this week, but I wanted to know if anyone else had the same situation and when the result was.

I had/have mono and was wondering if I can spread it.?

If the symptons aren't showing yet like sore throat, tiredness and all that can you still spread it. My boyfriend doesn't have it and I thought he gave it to me, all I can think who gave it to me is this guy I saw before him, that I shared a drink with some of his friends I'm thinking one of them but if u can spread it then I'm out of ideas.
