I normally work with publishers, but a client has come to me wanting me to write a book for their company. I know what I'll charge for the writing, but they want me to contract all of the project. What can I expect to pay for:

technical illustrator (illustrations on nearly every page)
art / design for entire book
printing (~5000 copies, 100 pp. each, soft cover, 4-color throughout)

I've spoken to a few printers locally, but get a lot of runaround. I think they want to seal a deal before committing to a price. I just need to provide an estimate, not a quote to the client.

whenever i want to download something there's this weird message that comes up instead of the page that lets me download the stuff, it doesnt let me access the site so i cant download the thing i want to download!!! this is what it says:

At a Senior Citizen's luncheon, an elderly gentleman and an elderly lady struck up a conversation and discovered that they both loved to fish.
Since both of them were widowed, they decided to go fishing together the next day. The gentleman picked the lady up, and they headed to the river to his fishing boat and started out on their adventure.
They were riding down the river when there was a fork in the river, and the gentleman asked the lady,
"Do you want to go up or down?"
All of a sudden the lady stripped off her shirt and pants and made mad passionate love to the man right there in the boat !
When they finished, the man couldn't believe what had just happened, but he had just experienced the best sex that he'd had in years.
They fished for a while and continued on down the river, when soon they came upon another fork in the river.
He again asked the lady, "Up or down ?"
There she went again, stripped off her clothes, and made wild passionate love to him again.
This really impressed the elderly gentleman, so he asked her to go fishing again the next day.
She said yes and there they were the next day, riding in the boat when they came upon the fork in river, and the elderly gentleman asked, "Up or down?"
The woman replied, "Down."
A little puzzled and disappointed, the gentleman guided the boat down the river when he came upon another fork in the river and he asked the lady,"Up or down ?"
She replied, "Up."
This really confused the gentleman so he asked, "What's the deal? Yesterday, every time I asked you if you wanted to go up or down you made mad passionate love to me. Now today, nothing!"
She replied, "Well, yesterday I wasn't wearing my hearing aid and I thought the choices were "**** or drown."

It's me again....Ok I've decided to get 2 baby poms, Now I want to choose what gender would be better. It would be nice to have 2 girls because of the fact that GIRLS RULE lol, but someone also posted that the Girls are easier to train, is that true? And another person also stated that it would be better for a BOy/Girl to be purchased so it won't be territory battles. So can you help me decide? My Fiancee plays in a band and he doesn't want me to go only when he plays at clubs because he's Jealous and thinks other guys will hit on me while he's up there playing, and told him I will be going this Sat with him but my friends will join me also. Is it wrong of me to go even though I know this bothers him? I love him so much that I don't want to argue for something like this? I mean he's going to be there so that shouldn't be bad right!
