If you need help on where to go to find alot of your stuff try www.theknot.com that is the site that I am using. I am getting married in Sept. and I love the checklist and budget pages. Good Luck and if you need any help IM me.

I agree. I use the theknot.com We also hired a wedding planner, but if that's not in your budget, then there are plenty of books and websites to help you out. If you do plan on getting a wedding planner, check out a few of them before you commit because there are some big price differences. Most places do offer a la carte planning. Or check with some of your friends who are married. I'm getting married in June... it's approaching quickly!

theknot.com is really great. What I've done for mine, though, to keep track of all of the different options for the wedding, is create an Excel spreadsheet, if you're at all familiar with using that application. I created a separate tab for each area of the wedding-- i.e. ceremony location, reception location, florists, photographers, cakes, dresses, invitations, etc.-- and then listed the name, contact information, and any additional info that I found online in the sheet. It's really helped me keep track of my research and make good decisions about which vendors to use.

To help plan things I got a bridal magazine that has the calendar type thing. It tells you when you should start doing things in a time frame type deal. It helped a lot. But try not to stress too much, this should be fun. I'm still planning mine right now and i need a day to myself just to relax sometimes. Good luck and congratulations.

Have you started to plan anything yet? Only 8 months to go.......If you are needing a reception hall, I'd get hopping on that immediately, before they become unavailable.

Better start planning now, and figure out what you want to do.
