If a guy has sex with a dude he's considered gay automatically, but if a gay guy has sex with a girl he's not considered back str8, it only works one way?

What you do in bed has nothing to do with your sexual orientation; people sleep with people for all sorts of reasons, only one of which is if you are attracted to them, which is your sexual orientation.

Basically, if you just told me who someone has slept with, I wouldn't be able to tell you if they were gay or straight; I'd need to know which sex(es) they desired.

But yes, society tends to believe that once a man has experimented with another male, he is instantly gay or bisexual, whereas if a gay man experiments with a woman, he is still seen as gay, unfortunately. I think it comes down to the fact that male homosexuality is seen as something that 'taints' you for life. Ridiciulous, but there you go.

No! Nononono.

Listen: Sexual orientation is NOT related to sexual behavior. It has to do with our thoughts, feelings, emotions and attractions too. It is not sex that determines whether someone is straight or gay - most gay and straight people know they are gay or straight well before they're having sex with anyone.

If a gay man doesn't have sex for his entire life, he is still gay. Because that's where his attractions are - towards men. Likewise if a straight guy has sex with another man, it doesn't necessarily make him gay. If his attractions are still towards women, he's still a straight guy. He's not considered gay automatically, because it's not sexual behavior that determines whether or not he's gay. So if a gay man has sex with a straight woman, he's still gay and the woman's still straight.

Remember, anyone can have sex with anyone else, and it won't change (or turn, or whatever) who they were before they had sex. It's much more than that that will determine our sexual orientation.

Many straight guys have sex with other guys -- often a lot of sex. Several of my straight friends liked me to s**k their d**ks regularly when we were young -- but they were not gay, and I never thought they were. They were and are my friends.

Having sex with someone, of either gender, does not change what you are. A straight boi can have a dude suck his dick all the time, he's still straight; and a gay boi can have sex with a girl, he'll still prefer guys.

If people are actually making the decisions you imply, they are stupid. It's not true either direction -- and this is in addition to bisexuality, which I am sure will be mentioned by the time I post this.

Kind thoughts,

Reyn

Well....first of all....most people wouldn't really know if the guy having sex with the girl was gay to begin with, so....I think they would consider him straight.

If they did know him, they would probably presume him to be in denile or trying to stay in the closet. It's not unheard of. If two guys are having sex, yes, it is assumed that he's gay, or atleast bisexual. Or perhaps it was just an experiment?

People make assumptions all the time. What matters is how the guys see themselves, I would think.

That me be the case in most cases but in my mind sexuality is a fluid thing. Guys that are gay may have sex with girls but still be gay or they may just be curious, same w/ a straight guy having sex with a guy he's still straight. Being gay or straight is not just about sex, there's actually love involved.

there is a ton of pressure for guys to have sex with girls and a ton of stigma surrounding guys having sex with guys. for a gay guy to give in to the pressure, that's not suprising, but for a "str8" guy to have sex with another guy despite all the social stigma... that's probably saying something.

but just because you do it once doesn't make you gay. it does mean you are at least little bi.

If a guy has sex with another guy, but still enjoys sex with a woman, then he is not gay he is bisexual...same for women...it doesnt work one way...

Uh, I would call both bisexual. I would assume that first, since I wouldn't know how they feel about the other sex. for the gay guy having sex with a woman, I would call them straight.

I dont know.. but I have often wondered why it is that two men having sex is them being gay.. but two women having sex is considered "hot"

I guess that is a question we will never know.

Because once you've smoked pole you've crossed a line you can't go back to. You are forever gay, even if you have staight tendencies, hetrosexuality is just like virginity, once it's gone it's gone for good.
