No. It's stupid. First off, isn't it a lottery so isn't that against Ebay's rule?

The problem with this method is that it only benefits 2 people: the seller and the guy who wins, but everybody else gets screwed. He's going to make 500 bucks no matter what because he's selling 100 tickets no matter what. The problem with this is that who knows how long it's going to take him to sell those 100 tickets. What if it takes him 6 months? By that time, you should be able to pick up a Wii at the store, so you wasted money by buying an envelope(s). Finally, is he honest or is he a scammer? Since he already knows the winning number, what's to prevent him or his friend from bidding on that number. Let's say he chose #9 to be the winner. If 8 people bought an envelope, he or his friend could place the 9th bid, which would make him or his friend the winner. Or let's say he changes the winning # so that he or his friend is the winner. The only way for it to be fair is when the bidding ends, he puts all the envelopes together and then pick the envelope in front of a non-partial witness.

Nope, it may sound like its a way for the seller to get $500, $350 more than the selling price, but I clearly think this is a scam.

Clever scam. All he has to do is sell the tickets and make sure that he or one of his friends buys the winning envelope, since it is up to him which one it is.

Great way to pay for a Wii
