You do it PROFESSIONALLY.
Go to a local tattoo parlor and as long as you're over 18, you won't need parental consent. If you're under, you'll need a parent who approves of what you are doing.
Once you are done filling out all of the paper work , they have you go back to a room and sit down. They have you rinse out your mouth really well with mouthwash and they mark the spot on your lip where you want the piercing. Then, they have you look at it and make sure that it is okay. When you give the "okay", they get the clamp ready and they put it on your lip where you are getting your piercing. They pull your lip out, put a cork under where the needle will be going and they put the needle through your lip! After, they stick the stick on the end of the needle so they can put your jewelry through, and then you're ready to go once you rinse your mouth again!
Be sure to tighten your jewelry (front and back) unless you get some jewelry that only needs tightened on one side. It's NOT fun if it falls out before it's completely healed..

Get some numbing stuff that they use for sores inside your mouth.. First, use ice to numb the outside. Apply the numbing stuff to lip inside, get a THICK, STERILIZED needle and pierce it. You may need to gage it for the lip ring to fit.

Don't people with body piercing in other places besides their ears don't get much respect and I don't think that people who don't respect their bodies enough to not pierce it in wierd placing don't deserve any respect.

i had mine done, & it wasnt that bad after the initial shock of the spear he used to push through my lip & baseball bat he threatened to sedate me with!!!!!!

you should get it done by a proffesional. seriously i dont think you want anything to happen to your lip.
